In this type of surgery four incisions are made in the abdomen. Through these four incisions only the instruments need for the surgery are inserted.

Hence there is every chance that these instruments can injure the intestine and the blood vessels. The doctor's experience plays an important role in this type of surgery.

Another complication after gall bladder surgery is the intermittent diarrhea that can occur. Diarrhea if present as a complication after gall bladder surgery can be easily treated by drugs to bind the stools and thus arrest it.

The patient who has undergone surgery has to be closely monitored for any complications due to anesthesia given for the surgery. Blood clotting is another complication after gall bladder surgery that can occur in some patients very rarely.

This may be due to some minor injuries to the duct during the operation. Infections could have occurred in some cases. Whatever be the complication after gall bladder surgery, it is only temporary and appears for a short period.
