What is Stomach Rubber Band Surgery?



Stomach Rubber Band Surgery is also known as LAP-Band surgery or Gastric Band Surgery. It is a weight loss surgery through which a person with obesity can reduce his weight. ‘LAP-Band’ is an adjustable Gastric banding device which lessens the capacity of stomach and restricts the quantity of food that a person is able to eat one time. • The stomach wall can tear during or after the procedure which can cause death or lead to another surgery to avoid further complications.
