How vascular endovascular surgeries performed

Vascular endovascular surgery is done to enable proper blood flow from and to the heart. Treating blood vessels for proper flow of blood is called the vascular endovascular surgery.

Varicose vein is a condition in which the blood flow from the leg to the upper part of the body is prevented due to incompetent valves.

Due to this the blood flows in the reverse direction and causes varicose veins.Vascular and endovascular surgery is used to treat varicose veins.

These are minimally invasive procedures. The time taken for such a vascular and endovascular surgery is around 1 ½ hours. Laser therapy, injection Sclerotherapy, and radio frequency ablation surgery are the types of vascular endovascular surgery that are used to treat varicose veins.

During such a vascular endovascular surgery a series of incisions are made along the vein and they heal without scarring.Diagnosing for varicose veins is easy by looking at the legs.

The veins are visible in purplish or blue color. Patients who have varicose veins may experience pain and it is very uncomfortable to have it.To check the severity of the varicose veins a venous ultrasound test is done before a vascular endovascular surgery.

Aortic aneurysm is another problem that is treated with vascular and endovascular surgery. Aortic aneurysm is a condition in which the aortic artery wall is weak. The artery wall is lengthened or bulged. It is also stretched to form aneurysm.

These are treated with vascular and endovascular surgery. An aortic aneurysm is dangerous to life if the artery wall ruptures. Hence it should be treated with a vascular and endovascular surgery at the earliest.

If you have any pain in the abdomen or chest it is better to consult your doctor immediately, since it could be due to aneurysm. Dizziness, fast heart beat, sudden weakness, sweating and fainting are some of the other symptoms that are to be watched.

People who smoke have the risk of having aortic aneurysm. If you parents have aortic aneurysm then chance are there for you to have it.Diagnose before a vascular and endovascular surgery is done using Computerized tomography scan, magnetic resonance imagery, angiography and ultrasound.

Minimally invasive procedures are available to treat aortic aneurysm. Carotid arteries are those that carry blood to the brain. They are found in the front of the neck.

If there is any block in these carotid arteries proper blood flow to the brain is interrupted which leads to stroke. Symptoms like numbness in legs and arms should not be taken lightly.

Difficulty in vision, severe headache, and memory loss are some of the symptoms of carotid artery disease. A vascular endovascular surgery is needed to treat these symptoms.
